Our Story
Data Center Solutions, Inc. (DCS), a data center solutions company specializing in cleaning, was established in 2007 by the husband-and-wife team of Dennis and Emily Kimple. As a certified women-owned small business, we set out to build an organization based on delivering services that exceed expectations by going above and beyond and building long-term relationships with each valued client. With over 15 years of experience cleaning over 1 million square feet of data centers annually, we leverage our expertise and credentials to protect your data center environment. Our client base ranges from private corporations to large public institutions across diverse industries.
We take pride in that the entire DCS team are experts in data center decontamination and maintenance processes. Because our team is made up of in-house, team members who have been with us for years, you are likely to see the same friendly faces who understand your unique critical environments and how to clean them properly.
We are committed to staying ahead of the latest technologies and technical standards. Dennis Kimple is a Certified Data Center Specialist and an expert in OSHA, ASHRAE and ISO 14644 standards which he teaches to the DCS team. Emily Kimple has served as a AFCOM Board Member for over 10 Years.

As co-founder and CFO, Emily utilizes her professional experience in business consulting and finance to direct DCS. Responsibilities include company leadership and oversight, sales, fiscal controls, contract negotiations, and employee management. Emily earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Finance from The Ohio State University.
Dennis Kimple - Vice President
Dennis Kimple - Vice President
As co-founder and COO, Dennis’ experience includes business development, management, sales, safety training, and customer service. He has built a vast network of partnerships to extend the capabilities of DCS to provide clients with solutions beyond professional data center cleaning services. Dennis earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminology from The Ohio State University. He is also a Certified Data Center Specialist (CDCS).
Michelle Schmeling - Director of Operations
Michelle Schmeling - Director of Operations
Michelle’s responsibilities as Director of Operations include managing client workflow, employee training and HR functions. Her professional background includes managing a multi-million-dollar retail business, employee development, solutions management, and customer service. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of Human Ecology at The Ohio State University.
Mark Cowper - Project Manager
Mark Cowper - Project Manager
Mark manages all of DCS’s projects. He is the direct contact for our hot and cold aisle containment product lines. Mark’s professional experience includes being a regional property manager, as well as a real estate investment sales manager. He also has experience in the IS/IT industry as a corporate executive recruiter. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Ohio Wesleyan University.
Matt Wilson - Lead Technician
Matt Wilson - Data Center Technician
Matt is instrumental in all aspects of solutions for the data centers we service. He developed our Thermal Imaging service that helps clients identify opportunities to improve airflow management. He also manages the DCS equipment, inventory and warehouse. He earned a Bachelor's of Sciences degree in Agricultural Economics from The Ohio State University.
